ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — Two teens are facing charges after police say they fled from them while trespassing on Aliquippa High School property late Wednesday night.
Officers said they first encountered the teens while on patrol at 11:53 p.m. They were trespassing and wearing all black clothing. Police said they tried to run away when they approached.
They were able to detain one of the teens, but the other got away.
Officers said the person taken into custody was 16 years old. He had a semi-automatic Glock concealed in his waistband, police say. He was taken to a juvenile detention facility and faces gun charges, and charges of resisting arrest and trespassing.
A perimeter was set up so police could look for the other suspect, but they were unable to find them.
The Hopewell Police Department and Pennsylvania State Police were called to help in that search.
Police are still looking for that second teen, but say charges are pending against him.
