2 sought in Carnegie shooting; Infant among injured

CARNEGIE, Pa. — Police said two men have been arrested and two more people are being sought after three victims, including a 2-week-old baby, were shot Saturday afternoon outside a Carnegie housing complex.

Authorities said the shooting happened outside the Carnegie Towers on Capitol Drive just after 3 p.m. The victims were not identified, but authorities said they have family members who live in the building.

Authorities said they recovered a gun that they believed was used in a nearby alley.

The infant is in stable condition at Children's Hospital in Lawrenceville, officials said. A 19-year-old man, who was shot twice in the torso, is in critical condition at Allegheny General Hospital, officials said. A 24-year-old victim was shot in the leg and is in stable condition at Allegheny General Hospital, officials said.

According to police, Byron Hall, 21, and James Edmonds Jr., 20, have been arrested and will be charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. They said 19-year-old Rashad Watson is still being sought and faces charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering and other counts.

Officials said Monday that an arrest warrant has also been issued for Tashae Griffin. According to police, Griffin is accused of harassing and threatening an on-duty security guard at the Carnegie Towers about the information he provided investigators about the shooting.

According to police, Griffin, who has a child with Edmonds, was questioned the night of the shooting. Griffin has been charged with retaliation against a witness or victim, police said.

Anyone with information on Griffin’s or Watson’s whereabouts is asked to contact police.
