CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Cranberry Township police arrested three people Tuesday accused of shooting guns to celebrate on New Year’s Eve.

Renee Piroth’s home was damaged early in the morning on Jan. 1 after she said bullets came flying into home.

Authorities said they’ve charged Rachel Sherd, and two people who were at her house, Lucinda Jones and Chris Nemit.

“It’s never OK to shoot off a gun in celebration. It’s not right to shoot them in the air. They could have hurt someone,” Cranberry Township police Sgt. Chuck Mascellino said.

According to police, Nemit brought the guns to the party, and the three suspects shot them after midnight.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
