ROSS, Pa. — Three women are facing prostitution-related charges after they were arrested Monday at a Ross Township massage spa where they were believed to have been living, police said.

According to Detective Brian Kohlhepp, an undercover officer agreed to a deal for a paid sex act inside the Tokyo Massage Spa, on Babcock Boulevard.

“Once the deal had been reached, the rest of the officers entered the business and arrested two females who were to perform the act, Yu Yayan and Lifen Chen, as well as the manager, Linlin Xu,” Kohlhepp said.

Police said officers also found evidence inside the spa that suggested the women had been living there.

Rose Lamanna, owner of nearby Grandma Rose’s Pastry Shop, said she noticed men going in and out of the spa but was surprised to learn what had been going on.

Yayan, 49, and Chen, 41, are both facing charges of prostitution and criminal conspiracy. Xu, 29, is facing charges of promoting prostitution and criminal conspiracy.

All three women were placed in the Allegheny County Jail on $5,000 bail.

Officials said the township is taking action against the women’s possible occupancy at the business, which is not allowed.
