SMITHFIELD, Pa. — Three hundred residents at the Strickland Estates in Fayette County have been without water or with little water for 12 hours as of 10:30 p.m.
Owner Tim Strickland said Mountain Water Association contacted him on Monday morning about a water main break that would interrupt service.
Strickland said the water company said it would have the water back on by noon. At 10:30 p.m., residents were still waiting for service to be restored.
The owner told Channel 11 he had concerns of pipes breaking and significant damage being done with sub-freezing temperatures.
The water company confirmed the break and told Channel 11 it was working on restoring the water.
