PITTSBURGH — A 7-year-old boy from Erie died at UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh after he was shot in the head, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Antonio Yarger Jr. was walking with about six other kids last week near his home in Erie when someone fired three shots at the group, Erie News Now reported. Yarger was the only one hit.
Police told Erie News Now that they’re making progress in the investigation and are reviewing surveillance video.
