ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — Aliquippa police were back at a Sheffield Road eatery, not long after announcing they’d be stepping up enforcement in the area.
According to the department, officers handled two different disturbances at Good to Go, around 11 p.m. on Saturday and 2 a.m. on Sunday.
In both cases, people were told to leave after yelling and fighting. Officers reportedly warned them multiple times, but several wouldn’t comply.
Police say four people each were arrested during the two incidents and taken to the Beaver County Jail.
The suspects face various charges, including failure to disperse, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, public drunkenness, aggravated assault on a police officer, obstruction and intimidation of a police K-9.
Saturday afternoon, Aliquippa police said they were increasing their presence around Good to Go after three people were arrested early that morning.
The total number of arrests at Good to Go since Saturday morning is now 11.
“Our goal is not to make arrests, it is to maintain a safe and orderly community,” the department said in a social media post Sunday. “Cooperation goes a long way toward accomplishing that goal without anyone ending the night in jail.”
Police commended Good to Go’s owner and management, who’ve hired private security to maintain order.
