WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. — In honor of the 95th birthday of the fifth-oldest roller coaster in the world, a local man has ridden the roller coaster 95 times in one day.

Vic Kleman, 82, of Pittsburgh, has kept track of how many times he’s been on the Jack Rabbit since his first ride in 1959.

“The thrill of riding the Jack Rabbit never gets old for me,” Kleman said. “It just makes me feel good.”

Kleman began riding the roller coaster at approximately 10:30 a.m. and finished just after 7:30 p.m., meaning he spent nine hours on the coaster Sunday.

“It takes a certain kind of commitment, and craziness, to ride a roller coaster 95 times in a row. But those are the kind of feelings Kennywood creates in people,” said Jerome Gibas, Kennywood general manager.

Kleman said he felt great after finishing the feat and added he made sure to exercise his legs after sitting down for so long.
