Airport area hotel sells as part of $137 million portfolio deal

The Courtyard by Marriott Airport on the Cherrington Parkway in Coraopolis has a new owner.

Massachusetts-based Service Properties Trust, a Real Estate Investment Trust, sold the local hotel as part of a huge portfolio sale, according to an announcement by CBRE, which represented the seller.

The buyer is a joint venture of Dallas-based NewcrestImage and Phoenix-based Hospitality Capital Partners.

The sale included 16 hotels with a total of 2,155 rooms in nine states that traded for a compiled sum of $137.3 million.
