WILKINSBURG — Aldi is days away from opening its first store in Wilkinsburg.
The popular supermarket chain known for its affordable prices and exclusive brands is opening a store at 401 Penn Ave. on Jan. 30.
“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier,” said Kevin Ely, Saxonburg vice president for ALDI. “We’re excited to open our first ALDI store in Wilkinsburg and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping.”
On the grand opening, the store will open its doors at 8:45 a.m. After that, its regular hours will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
To celebrate the new store, the first 100 customers will get a gift bag full of Aldi fan-favorite products and a gift card as part of the ALDI Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program.
