A new horse has joined the Allegheny County Police Department’s Mounted Patrol Unit.
ACPD says Cyrus is an 8-year-old Belgian Gelding who recently finished training.
Cyrus was born in Washington County and spent time working on a farm in Central Pennsylvania.
The department says Cyrus was donated to them in memory of longtime Assistant Superintendent Paul Wolf, who served the community for more than 38 years.
