Police investigating shooting in Wilkins Township

WILKINS TOWNSHiP, Pa. — A 17-year-old boy was shot in shoulder and stomach just before 9:00 p.m. last night in Wilkins Township, according to officials with the Allegheny County Police.

Officers said they were called to the 100 block of Ivy Street for the reported shooting and once they arrived, they found the victim. He was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

Detectives learned during the investigation the victim drove a green Toyota Camry with a license plate displaying HPV-4328 to a nearby home on Tongalucas Street. He got out of the car and that’s when two men he didn’t know started shooting.

The two gunmen then drove off in the Toyota Camry towards Turtle Creek.
