Man killed after being pinned between trailer, loading dock in Harmar Township, victim identified

HARMAR TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man was killed after being pinned between a trailer and a loading dock in Harmar Township.

Crews were called to the 400 block of Nixon Road around 10:41 a.m.

An accident reconstruction team is also on the scene, according to officials.

He was identified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office as 64-year-old Samuel Plazio, of Vandergrift.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives and collision reconstruction officers initiated an investigation, according to the Allegheny County police department.

A press release from Packaging Corporation of America said the victim was a third-party contractor.
