SHARON, Pa. — An attempted homicide suspect was detained in Mercer County on Saturday.
A press release shared by the City of Sharon Police Bureau said the arrest was made on the 300 block of South Myers Avenue at around 7:30 p.m.
Police are currently withholding the suspect’s name, but say he is a suspect in an attempted homicide that happened in Butler County.
Sharon police worked with the Mercer County Critical Incident Response Team and the United States Marshals Service to serve a search warrant at the house.
Authorities said the suspect tried to escape by going out a second-floor window and jumping off the roof.
He was injured and taken to a hospital, where he remains in custody.
