ROCHESTER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police have released surveillance video that shows a Beaver County convenience store clerk fend off a robbery attempt.

Authorities said the armed robber demanded money from the clerk inside the BP gas station on Virginia Avenue in Rochester Township.

The surveillance video shows the clerk secretly call for help and not give up any cash. The robber eventually left the store empty-handed.

Investigators said he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the No. 10 on the front. He was also wearing distinctive tennis shoes.

Authorities released a description of the man because they believe he’ll attempt another robbery.

“It turned out good this time, but what about next time? This could get dangerous,” Rochester Township police Chief George Vaccich said.

Anyone with information on the robbery attempt or suspect is asked to call police.
