NEW CASTLE, Pa. — During a raid at a New Castle home on Friday, authorities said detectives seized drugs, guns and a new fad -- marijuana butter.

According to Lawrence County District Attorney Josh Lamancusa, the Drug Task Force raided a home on Hillcrest Avenue in New Castle Friday morning.

Inside the home, authorities said, detectives confiscated more than $10,000 worth of crystal meth, prescription pills and marijuana butter.

“Marijuana butter? I’ve never heard of it,” one neighbor said.

Lamancusa said marijuana butter is a new fad drug that the county has never seen.

That same neighbor said they say the whole raid go down.

“The police showed up and they were banging on the doors. It was pretty scary,” the neighbor said.

The raid happened after federal marshals arrested the 21-year-old resident on a warrant from Wyoming.

Lamancusa said the man had more than $2,400, a Rolex watch and several pieces of gold jewelry on him, which also were confiscated.
