Authorities seize suspected crack cocaine, $7K in cash from 2 homes in Lawrence County

A drug bust Friday in Lawrence County yielded drugs and cash, according to the Lawrence County District Attorney’s Office.

Operation “Two Birds” was carried out by the DA’s Special Investigations Unit and HIDTA Group, DEA Group 66, Pennsylvania State Police, the FBI and Union Township police.

Authorities executed search warrants at two homes — in the 300 block of Bell Avenue and the 900 block of Emery Street — which they suspected of being used to sell, make and store drugs.

In the Bell Avenue home, PSP’s Special Emergency Response Team found Ryan Fitzpatrick, who was the “target of the investigation,” the DA’s office says.

The HIDTA Group entered the Emery Street home, where several people were detained as law enforcement searched.

Investigators reportedly found these items inside the two homes:

  • About 105 grams of suspected crack cocaine
  • $7,180 in cash
  • A loaded 9mm pistol
  • A digital weighing scale

Fitzpatrick had a warrant out of Mercer County and was taken to the Lawrence County Jail, the DA’s office says. He’s expected to face drug and gun charges.
