MCKEESPORT, Pa. — A bakery in McKeesport announced its closure after more than 100 years of business.
A spokesperson for Minerva Bakery announced the business would be closing its doors in a post made on Facebook on Monday.
“We are deeply grateful to everyone who has walked through our doors, shared our baked goods with their families, and supported us throughout the years. While saying goodbye is difficult, we are proud of the legacy we leave behind and humbled to be a small part of so many lives for 103 years,” that post read in part.
A reason for the closing was not immediately provided.
The closure was effective as of Monday.
