Bank robbed in Point Marion, troopers say

POINT MARION, Pa. — An investigation is underway after a reported bank robbery in Fayette County.

Pennsylvania State Police say United Bank on Penn Street in Point Marion Borough was robbed after 11 a.m. Monday.

In a press release, PSP describes the suspect as a heavy-set white man who was wearing blue jeans, a button-down shirt, a black Pittsburgh Steelers baseball cap and a gas mask.

The man reportedly entered the bank and presented employees with a note demanding money. He did not brandish a weapon. No one was hurt during the incident.

Anyone with information about the bank robbery, or who saw suspicious activity nearby, is asked to contact PSP.
