Lou Pappan, who founded the Pappan’s Family Restaurant chain, died at his Beaver County home Tuesday morning at the age of 92.
You might remember him from his commercials with his trademark: “You gonna like it.”
Inspired by heroic American troops he saw in World War II, Pappan emigrated to the United States from Greece and opened his first restaurant in New Brighton in 1964.
The chain ultimately grew to about 30 locations across the area.
Pappan’s grandson says he was known for his generosity and commitment to his community.
Gabauer Family Funeral Homes are handling the arrangements for the funeral.
