MONACA, Pa. — The Shell Cracker Plant in Monaca is in the process of starting production back up, which could cause flares.

Neighbors may see some flaring as the plant resumes normal operations.
In a Facebook post, the plant said flaring is normal and that “low cloud cover may cause a reflection of light from the flare.”
