PITTSBURGH — BikePGH held its 33rd annual Pedal PGH event Sunday.
The sold-out event saw bicyclists ride on courses ranging from 10 to 53 miles long.
Each year, the event raises funds for BikePGH, a 501(c)3 nonprofit centered around cycling advocacy and education.
“Everyone is coming out to celebrate how far we’ve come as a biking city, and to power what comes next to make our streets that much safer for biking and walking,” said Julie Walsh, senior communications and marketing manager for BikePGH.
Around 3,000 riders were expected to participate Sunday.
Over the years, Pedal PGH has raised more than $1.5 million to support BikePGH’s work.
