BNY Mellon closing its last Pittsburgh branch

PITTSBURGH — Bank branch closures are increasingly common in the Pittsburgh region these days. After all, during 10 days in January, four different banks shuttered a combined 20 branches.

But a new regulatory filing by a one of the nation’s largest financial institutions comes as a surprise.

BNY Mellon is closing its last Pittsburgh branch.
