PENN HILLS, Pa. — Homicide detectives continue to investigate the death of a 53-year-old man who was found fatally shot in Penn Hills Sunday morning.
Police found Kenneth Stubbs’ body on Manilla Street around 10:30 a.m. Sunday, about 10 hours after investigators said he was shot.
Authorities are working to figure out what led to the East Liberty man’s death, and why he was found in Penn Hills.
Stubbs' friends and fellow business owners told Channel 11's Jennifer Tomazic (@JenniferTomazic) that they want answers.
Channel 11 News was there as investigators collected evidence at Ken Stubbs’ Auto Sales in Homewood – a business he owned.
“We need some protection out here on the East Side. When an old person gets killed by some young bucks, you got to take that personally,” friend Christopher Floyd said.
William Baker knows a lot of people on Hamilton Avenue because he owns a lot of the business there, and now he's mourning the loss of his friend.
“He was like one of my kids and he was killed. I’m sad about it,” William Baker said. “I’m real sad because I feel strong about people. I love people and to see somebody you know get killed like that, in that fashion, it’s terrible.”
Detectives have not released any other information about their investigation, and so far, no arrests have been made.
