The 42-year-old’s body washed up Sunday afternoon along the Monongahela River shore.
The discovery was made on the Rostraver side of the river, about a quarter mile south of Route 136, near the Allegheny County line.
“I mainly went down every day from the time I knew and walked along the bank searching for my brother. I went down two times a day and nothing came up,” Jennifer Megela said.
Megela’s family says although this brings closure, they still don’t know why he walked away from home.
"We loved him and we miss him,” Jennifer Megela said.
