PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Bomb Squad was called to the 1000 block of Woods Run Thursday night for two suspicious devices found in the street.

Shortly after 10:30 p.m., firefighters and police arrived at the scene and discovered what appeared to be two prescription bottles with wicks.

A woman told Channel 11 News she was sleeping when one of the homemade bombs struck the window next to her.

"We heard something hit the window, and when it hit the window it made a large boom," she told Channel 11's Jennifer Tomazic.

When she looked outside, she saw a fire.

"I was scared. I didn't get much sleep last night," the woman said.

Police said one of the devices detonated, but the other did not.

The bomb squad brought in a robot to safely remove the devices, which police said had been thrown from a red Ford that was occupied by two black men.

The road was closed and buildings in the immediate area were evacuated. No one was injured.
