CRAFTON, Pa. — One of the two elevators is now working at Noble Towers in Crafton after both were down for several hours Saturday.
While management said they have been working around the clock to keep residents comfortable and safe, one resident said he couldn’t even leave his apartment.

"I can't even walk a flight of steps, let alone nine floors,” said Bill Chew, a Noble Towers resident.
Chew, one of 150 tenants at Noble Towers, said that he lives on the ninth floor of the building, and couldn’t leave Sunday due to needing to carry oxygen tanks.
Channel 11’s Carly Flynn Morgan spoke with Noble Towers’ co-owner Nicole Plesset, who said that one of the elevators had been down for days, and then Saturday the second one stopped working as well. Plesset said that they were doing everything they could in the meantime to help residents on the stairs and with their medicine.
"We don't want them to ruin their weekend. We're trying to make things work and fix this problem," Plesset said.
District two councilwoman Theresa Kail-Smith has been working with the owners, along with notifying the public safety director and fire chief of the situation.
"I was really impressed by the quick response from the property owner," Kail-Smith said.
Kail-Smith said that they have offered to put residents up in a nearby hotel, along with budgeting for repairs or replacement of the elevators.
Chew still had concerns over the elevators being broken down.
"I can't take it no more. I don't know how much life I have left," Chew said.
The owners said that they have ordered the part needed to fix the remaining elevator, but it isn’t expected to arrive until Friday.
