Fire that destroyed transportation van in Pittsburgh’s Uptown believed to be suspicious

PITTSBURGH — Crews were called to an Uptown neighborhood where a bus caught fire overnight.

The transportation van was located along Pride Street in Bluff. The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m.

A Channel 11 photographer captured video of the van, which was next to the New Shepherd’s Heart Fellowship Church and completely destroyed by flames.

Firefighters were seen going into a nearby building to investigate, although it didn’t appear as though the structure was damaged.

There were no injuries reported.

The Fire Investigation Unit was called to investigate the origin of the fire, which is believed to be suspicious.
