BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. — A strike planned by Butler County workers has been canceled due to a tentative agreement.
SEIU Local 668 union members were to begin a strike today after working without a contract for months, according to the union.
The union represents over 300 public employees at the courthouse, Children and Youth Services, Area Agency on Aging, 911, the district magistrate offices, Parks and Recreation, the jail, and other county government offices.
The collective bargaining agreement expired at the end of 2022.
The union will vote on the agreement Thursday.
