CANONSBURG, Pa. — Churches in Canonsburg came together Saturday for a “United for Charleston” prayer vigil and community rally.
The speakers include David Rhome, mayor of Canonsburg, Cheryl Allen, superior court judge, and other church leaders.

The event was organized by Rev. Zanetta Wingfield, of St. John Bible Center in Lawrence, who said the message of the rally is about solidarity, hope and love.
“We have to start coming together as a community … and we can come together proactively,” said Wingfield.
The gathering was held at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church at 6 p.m.
