Man in 70s killed when car crashes into creek along Route 30 in Ligonier

LIGONIER, Pa. — Westmoreland County 911 dispatchers confirmed a man was killed when his vehicle crashed into a creek along Route 30 East in Ligonier Tuesday night.

Officials said the crash happened in the area of Trillium Lane just before 6 p.m.

According to police, the victim, who is in his 70s, suffered some sort of medical condition which caused his car to swerve off the road, over a hillside and into a creek.

The man’s name has not been released.

Authorities have not said if any other injuries were reported in the accident.
