WILKINS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A car crashed through the wall of a tavern in Wilkins Township on Thursday.
Allegheny County dispatchers say police, fire and medics were called to Carl’s Tavern on William Penn Highway at around 12:30 p.m.

One person was taken to a hospital as a result of the crash, investigators say.
General Manager, Russell Harrison, said people have been eating on the patio since the crash occurred.
They plan to gut the front of the building and put up a temporary wall.
No one inside the building was injured.
