BEAVER COUNTY, Pa. — A man hit by a car while mowing a relative's lawn in Beaver County Tuesday has died.
The crash was reported in South Beaver Township along Georgetown Road just before noon.
Police said Thomas Weisenberger, 47, was mowing his grandparent’s lawn on a rideable mower when a car that was traveling in the wrong lane hit him.
Investigators said they think Weisenberger may have been turning around on the road when he was hit by the 18-year-old driver. The incident remains under investigation.
Weisenberger was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital where he later died.
According to police, the driver of the car was not injured and authorities have not determined if charges will be filed against the man.
