The Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh hosted its first-ever FestPGH at FNB Stadium on the South Shore, Saturday.
It featured activities, live music, local artwork, an evening Mass and more.
Bishop Mark Eckman said the idea came from his visits with parishes earlier this year, and figuring out how to better connect the diocese and community.
“To be able to help people to see that the church is many dimensions, many faceted, but all of it’s there to ultimately give glory to God,” Eckman said.
The bishop said it’s too early to say if FestPGH will return next year, but said there’s a good chance, based on how the day went.
