PITTSBURGH — Community College of Allegheny County’s Allegheny campus was briefly placed on lockdown after shots were fired near the campus late Tuesday morning.
Authorities said shots were fired between passing cars at Galveston and North Lincoln avenues about 11 a.m.
The school’s lockdown was lifted just before noon, but school officials said they’re asking students to use additional cautions while traveling around campus.
Police said they don’t believe the shooting was related to CCAC.
No other information about the incident has been released.
