MARSHALL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — More than 800 people gathered for a women-focused luncheon Friday hosted by the Pittsburgh Business Exchange, making it one of the largest such events in Western Pennsylvania.
Channel 11’s Lisa Sylvester led the fireside chat portion of the gathering, which brought together regional leaders to share professional insights.
The event offered attendees an opportunity to learn from influential women shaping the region. Discussions centered on practical advice for mentoring, collaboration and networking across various industries.
The panel featured prominent leaders from across the region, including Pittsburgh Regional Transit CEO Katharine Kelleman and Beth Wild, president of UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. The discussion also included the former president of the Eden Hall Foundation, alongside leaders from the non-profit and hospitality sectors.
Jesika Shaker, vice president of the Pittsburgh Business Exchange, highlighted the commitment of the attendees to personal and professional growth.
“It represents curiosity. It represents that they — no matter what age, industry. or walk of life they come from — they keep coming back to learn, see who they can meet, who they can learn from and what they can bring to the table,” Shaker said.
