PITTSBURGH — Some local kids got new bikes Tuesday thanks to a charitable organization.
Variety - The Children’s Charity presented new bikes to kids at the National Aviary.
The adaptive bikes give the kids and parents some new freedom and hope for the future.
“We know that the best hour of the week is always the presentation hour,” Variety CEO Tom Baker said. “It’s the week that we look forward to, that we enjoy, the happiness that we see in the room together.
Variety has now given out more than 10,000 bikes and strollers since 2012, including more than 1,800 in Allegheny County alone.
