Community center destroyed by fire in Fayette Co.

SALTLICK TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A fire destroyed a community center in Saltlick Township, Fayette County, early Saturday morning.

Part of the ceiling of the Indian Creek Valley Community Center collapsed after flames broke out at the building on Indian Creek Valley Road.

Fire crews encountered intense flames when they responded to a report of the fire at about 2 a.m.

Nobody was inside the building at the time of the fire.

The community center had been rebuilt after being destroyed by a fire about 20 years ago.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
