Could slot machines be coming to Pittsburgh International Airport?

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh International Airport already has some great restaurants and shops to pass the time -- but what if it had slot machines?

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, State Rep. Nick Kotik, D-Coraopolis, said he plans to introduce a bill in the next few weeks that would allow international airports in Pennsylvania to install slot machines.

The Post-Gazette reports Kotik made the comments during a state House Gaming Oversight Committee hearing at Rivers Casino on Wednesday.

According to the report, Kotik said the idea is meant to help a struggling Pittsburgh International Airport.

"At the minimum, if it generates some revenue to help the airport authority to entice airlines in, it's a plus," he said.
