EVERSON, Pa. — A vehicle crash damaged a veterans monument in Fayette County Saturday morning.
The Everson Volunteer Fire Co. shared photos on social media showing the aftermath of the crash along Brown Street.
Sunday, a Channel 11 photographer captured the damage left behind, including to the monument, which was knocked off its base.
Several flagpoles, a large clock and a street sign were also damaged.
The fire company says the driver was treated on scene.
West Penn Power reportedly had to depower an underground meter socket under the vehicle.
Scottdale Volunteer Fire Department, Mutual Aid EMS and Pennsylvania State Police assisted with the incident.
