Crash involving vehicle, PRT train injures 2

MOUNT LEBANON, Pa. — Two people were injured Thursday in a crash involving a Pittsburgh Regional Transit train.

The crash was reported around 12:30 p.m.

It happened along the Red Line in Mount Lebanon, a PRT spokesperson says.

About 20 people were aboard the light-rail train. One of the passengers suffered a knee injury and was taken by medics to a Pittsburgh hospital.

The vehicle’s driver suffered a head injury and was also taken to the hospital.

Port Authority police are investigating the collision.
