PITTSBURGH — Channel 11 got an up-close look at the future of robotics Wednesday.
It was Robotics and AI Discovery Day at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
The event featured more than 250 exhibitors and hands-on demonstrations showcasing the industry’s latest developments.
New this year is the “Defense Pavilion,” focused on technology used in defense, health care, manufacturing and other sectors.
Pittsburgh Robotics Network, which hosted the event, says it helps companies stay connected in the City of Pittsburgh — considered a global robotics hub.
Anthony Theofiledes of Bloomfield Robotics commented, “Many of us are transplants from other companies, so it’s good to stay connected and see what other people are doing, but honestly the Pittsburgh Robotics Network is to make those connections, and then more companies have flourished out of that friendship.”
