CRANBERRY, Pa. — A Cranberry man has parted ways with a dog that he said saved his life.
Chuck Weintraub said he collapsed in his yard in July and is alive today only because Chloe, a pit bull mix he fostered, alerted neighbors.
Weintraub said he fosters dogs for the Humane Society and recently made the difficult decision to give the dog up to another family.
Chloe now lives with her “forever” family in Brookline. Weintraub said it would have been selfish to keep the hero dog for himself.
