Man dead after multi-vehicle crash in Washington County, investigators say

CECIL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man has died after a multi-vehicle crash in Washington County on Sunday evening.

A Washington County 911 supervisor says the crash was reported just after 8 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 980 and Clover Lane in Cecil Township.

Washington County Corner Tim Warco later identified the man as Charles Amic, 55, of Oakdale. Warco said Amic crossed the center line and collided with a vehicle in the opposing lane.

Warco adds that a passenger in Amic’s vehicle and the driver of another involved vehicle were both taken to area hospitals. Their conditions weren’t made available.

Route 980 was temporarily closed while first responders were on scene.
