Driver flees scene after crashing into woman's car in West Mifflin; Victim seriously hurt

WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. — A driver involved in a serious crash took off running from the scene in West Mifflin early Thursday morning.

Officials said the incident happened on Clairton Road. Channel 11's Dave Bondy reported that victim was following all traffic laws when the other driver came speeding down the road, clipped her car and sent her vehicle into a hillside.

Officials the woman then lost control and the car flipped.

The female driver was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital. Her name and condition were not immediately released.

Emergency personal at the scene said the man's car went through a nearby yard and also flipped. After the crash, officials said the man took off on foot.

Police continue to search for the other driver involved.
