Driver killed after crash with salt truck, tractor-trailer

None — LAWRENCE COUNTY, Pa. --  Officers said a man was killed after he rammed into the back of a salt truck and was then hit by a tractor-trailer.

The accident happened early Tuesday morning on Interstate 376 in Pulaski Township, Lawrence County.

Investigators said Rodney Shropshire, 40,  rear-ended the salt truck as it was spreading materials on the road. Police said his Nissan became disabled and the lights were knocked out.

Twenty seconds later, police said, a tractor-trailer driver didn't see the disabled vehicle and crashed into it.
