PITTSBURGH — Five suspects were arrested Monday as DEA agents served warrants throughout the Pittsburgh area in connection with a federal investigation into drug trafficking in Western Pennsylvania.
Authorities told Channel 11's Damany Lewis that they arrested 32-year-old Isaac Skipworth Monday morning at a home on West 16th Street in West Homestead.
Agents told Channel 11 News that Skipworth is a member of the motorcycle club known as “The Law.”
Police said some members of “The Law” operated a large-scale cocaine and prescription drug ring. According to police, they also engaged in money laundering and illegal firearms transfers.
Officials said Skipworth is charged with possession of a firearm by a user or addict of a controlled substance.
According to the criminal complaint, agents recovered a firearm, a mirror that contained cocaine and a plastic bag with cocaine, assorted needles, steroids and other items from the home.
The bomb squad was called to the home because of something that was found while the warrant was being served.
Skipworth appeared in federal court on Tuesday and was ordered held without bond pending his trial, Target 11 Investigator Rick Earle reported.
Neighbors who live in the area told Lewis they’re happy Skipworth was arrested, but they didn’t suspect anything was wrong.
Tre Johnson said Skipworth just moved into the neighborhood in December.
“I just knew he was in a biker club, and I saw him ride around,” Johnson said.
The other four suspects arrested on Monday were identified as Scott Kulikowski, Christopher Levy, Raymond Kober and Jason Godek.
Earle learned they’re all from the Pittsburgh area and they’re all facing drug charges, as well.
Earle reported Kulikowski, Levy, Kober and Godek are in federal custody and scheduled to appear at a detention hearing on Wednesday.
