PITTSBURGH — Eat’n Park launched its 48th annual Caring for Kids campaign Thursday, introducing a new Smiley Cookie Club to raise funds for local children’s hospitals.
Guests can join the club for a $5 donation, which provides a key tag eligible for free cookies with in-store purchases throughout 2027.
The Caring for Kids campaign began in 1979, raising money annually for children’s hospitals across the restaurant chain’s footprint. The campaign’s lifetime fundraising total is expected to surpass $13 million during the 2026 effort.
Smiley Cookie Key Tags are available for purchase in person starting Thursday at all Eat’n Park locations while supplies last.
Trina DeMarco serves as senior director of community partnerships at Eat’n Park Hospitality Group.
“Giving back is so important to us and for 40 years, Smiley Cookies have helped us create smiles both inside our restaurants and throughout our communities,” DeMarco said. “The Smiley Cookie Club builds on this tradition and gives our guests an opportunity to join us in making a difference.”
The 2026 campaign also includes an annual vehicle raffle for a 2026 Ford Maverick donated by Neighborhood Ford Store, with tickets priced at $2. Eat’n Park is donating 10% of sales from Christmas Star merchandise to Caring for Kids. Customers can also support the fundraiser through individual restaurant events and raffles, or by adding a donation when ordering takeout online or through the mobile app.
Smiley Cookie Club members can present their key tag to receive a free Original Smiley Cookie when dining in at any Eat’n Park restaurant from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2027.
