80-year-old twin sisters escape, man rescued from Beaver Co. house fire

DARLINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Firefighters rescued a 60-year-old man after his 80-year-old twin sisters escaped from a house fire Tuesday afternoon in Darlington Township.

According to Beaver County 911 dispatchers, the blaze was reported at a house on Enon Road about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Authorities said the sisters managed to escape the blaze basically unharmed, but their brother was overcome by smoke and needed to be rescued.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Firefighters said they had a difficult time removing the man, who weighs about 450 pounds, from the home. His condition has not been released.
