Electric shuttle buses and EV charging infrastructure bound for Pittsburgh International Airport

A federal grant award to Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) will result in the deployment of two electric shuttle buses and an electric vehicle (EV) charging station as the facility’s ongoing $1.4 billion Terminal Modernization Program continues.

The Federal Aviation Administration selected PIT as one of the latest winners of its Zero Emission Vehicle grant program, which comes with a $1.4 million award for the airport that will be used for the purchasing of the two buses and a direct current fast-charging station to resupply the buses with electricity.
